Jim Hood

Hood for Governor Fall Internship Application

Thank you for your interest in the Hood for Governor’s Internship Program. This internship will be an invaluable opportunity to gain substantial exposure to and first hand experience of elections at the state level. Statewide elections don’t get any bigger and better than the governor’s race and this particular election has already been called the most competitive Mississippi governor’s race in over 15 years. You can play a major role in helping Mississippi move forward by working to elect Jim Hood as Governor.

The internship program is unpaid, but we are willing to help with travel related expenses. Interns’ responsibilities will vary on the campaign. You could be tasked with assisting in areas of policy, finance, social media, press/media relations, voter outreach, or volunteer co-ordination. Interns will be expected to be able to spend time in Jackson, but time spent outside of Jackson can be filled with organizing, attending events, and distributing campaign materials throughout the state, where you will gain grassroots campaigning experience.

To apply, fill out the form and attach your resume below. Any questions or concerns can be sent to Neal Lancaster at neal@hoodforgovernor.com.

Tate Reeves is making big promises... in an election year. What makes you think he'll do anything now when he's done nothing for eight years? How are your roads?

Thank you to Dr. Jay Allen and everyone at Itawamba Community College Workforce Training Center for an illuminating tour.

The nature of employment is changing as automation moves workers into more technical fields. To compete on the national and global stages, MS must act fast.
